Howdy all,
Just letting you know that carp season 09 is in full swing here at Rajeff Sports. After a winter that I thought would never end we finally got a few days of 70+ degree weather, and the carp started moving. It started out slow on Monday a jump here a splash there, but by Tuesday afternoon they were up and moving in full force. As Jarrod and I loaded the boat, got the rods and the fly box put together we couldn’t help but notice all the action out on the lake. Hitting the water full of carp catching anticipation we soon were smacked full in the face with the frustration that is carp fishing…After about 2 hours of moving from spot to spot and having them continue to jump just out of range we decided to hit one more cove. As we push into the cove we notice a few actually slurping off the top of the water, Jarrod masterfully get the boat set up allowing for an easy cast. I throw and see it turn and swirl on my fly, Fish On! After a short battle Jarrod was able to scoop him up and get him into the boat. While not the biggest carp its still the first of the season. Hopefully this will mean we will have a good season!
