Although not pro staff (I am only a peddler/fanatic of Echo and Airflo) I have the honor of offering the view of Rajeff Sports from the tiny spring creeks of the Driftless Area. Spey rods, you can build bridges across our creeks with them. 5 weights, Smallmouth Bass rods.
No, we are the folks fishing the 3wts and 4wts in the line, the often unheralded sticks in the overall impressive array of Echo rods. We look for rods that can deliver a fly gently to a rising brook trout, while a few hours later casting a weighted scud into the gnarly depths of a log jam covered hole and be able to finesse the fish out of the wood after being hooked.
This is why we choose to partner up with these guys. Rods that can handle crawling around on the banks then pop up and put the fly right where we need it without much false casting. Ones we can put in the hands of our clients, beginners and experts alike, and have them feel like they have fished it forever. Lines that shoot off the tip like a guided missile, minimizing false casts, while holding up to the muck and cow poo and other nasty things of our area.
But more than a sales pitch, and a heck of a lot more than just another company. We have found Rajeff sports to be a breath of fresh air in a fairly stagnant fly fishing world. Innovative, fun, and accessible. All good things in a company, and in fishing in general.
Keep an eye on this blog, you will see some great things from some great people coming your way!
