Depth Finders
Since the introduction of the integrated head people have accepted the idea that a fast sinking line can be extremely effective and easy to use. Airflo created the Depth Finder lines to take care of all the conditions an integrated head would be used. With the highest density material in the industry, Airflo lines sink faster than PVC lines to help get the fly into the zone and keep it there. They are equally at home in rivers as they are in the salt. Because of their unusually high sink rate, many people find they can change their tactics and use larger flies or fish in water that was moving too fast for other lines. Depth Finder lines feature Power Core technology for low memory and low stretch to help feel everything that is happening to the fly. The low stretch core also helps set the hook, even at long distances. A new ultra durable sleeved weld connects the head to the running line.
Standard Depth Finder
Airflo's standard depthfinders have been targeting a myriad of freshwater and saltwater species for a decade. The 30' heads are ideal for large water, and experienced casters will find the longer head more conducive to distance casts. They're available in 6 grain weights with floating running lines, and 3 grain weights with intermediate running lines.
Depth Finder Quick Max
The Depth Finder Quick Max is a shorter head version of the original Depth Finders. The Quick Max features a 22' sinking section, with a 6' intermediate section at the rear taper. The shorter sinking section makes picking the line up and recasting a cinch. The Quick Max is incredible for fly fishers new to casting heavier sinking lines.
Depth Finder Big Game
Back in 2008, the Depth Finder Big Game lines now feature seamless no-weld technology with a single transition from the running line to the head. Along with the 50lb test Power Core, that makes this line one tough beast. The Big Game Depth Finder is 150' long and has the highest density heads on the market available in 400, 500 and 700 grains.
