Jeff Wagner is a fish bum to the core. In his professional life Jeff is a Fisheries Biologist as well as a Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers, a fly fishing guide, speaker, writer, and Pro Staff with Oakley and other companies. He currently lives in Fort Collins Colorado fishing for big trout, bigger carp, and warmwater species. However, fish species he pursues are only limited to those with fins and he travels long distances to go after as many species as possible. His love for fly fishing bleeds into all areas of the sport as he pursues excellence in fly casting and fly tying. Jeff also works with non-profit organizations like Reel Recovery and enjoys teaching fly fishing whenever possible. Competitive achievements include top rankins in the Orvis Cup, Teva Mountain Games, Best of the West Distance Casting Competitions, North American Fly Fishing Classic, and other competitions. His favorite fishing partner and competition companion is his wife, Kathleen a music teacher and photographer, who has also placed among the best women in competitions, at times beating the guys (including Jeff).
