Since its introduction in the 2006 tackle year, Ridge Lines have been gaining widespread recognition and earning "oohs" and "aahs" from fly casters worldwide. The Ridge concept is simple -- run ridges along the entire length of the line and drastically decrease friction and improve shootability. The Ridges have an added benefit of holding water in the grooves during the cast and providing increased lubrication to the already uber-high levels of Teflon®. Coupled with Airflo's smooth integrated welded loops, the Ridge Lines make the ultimate trout lines. New for 2008, we've expanded the Tactical Trout Ridge lines, making them available in more sizes as well as the popular Lichen Green color. We've also added a Nymph Taper and a Delta Taper to the line-up.'
Ridge Tactical Trout
New for 2007, Airflo's Ridge Tactical Trout was developed in conjunction with Rene Harrop. This high buoyancy line has a variable density tip -- it's so buoyant you'll think it's wearing water wings. The Ridge Tactical Trout lines also feature Airflo's low stretch Power Core. The Power Core provides better energy transfer for casting, eliminates memory and has superior hook-setting power.
Ridge Distance
The Ridge Distance line is a technical casters dream line. The long belly and no-stretch core means the transfer of energy is flawless and mendability is superb. The line is perfect for throwing large flies or nymphing rigs and it manhandles small to medium flies for the distance.
Ridge Nymph
The short front taper of the Nyph Line powers over heavy nymphs and indicators, while the long rear taper stabilizes delivery and allows you to mend at extreme distance.
Ridge Delta Taper
Originally designed for UK Stillwater, the Delta's unique taper creates a smooth transition of energy to deliver the most delicate cast imagineable. With its long front taper and longer than average head design, the Delta performs perfectly for all "fine and far off" presentations and doubles as an excellent single hand spey line in larger sizes.
